Dr. Sconzo
Dr. Sconzo
Dr. Sconzo has been in practice for 32 years in the Marine Park area. A graduate of Tufts University School of Dentistry with a D.M.D. degree; he is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey. The doctor completed a general practice residency at Kings County Hospital. Dr. Sconzo has been on staff at New York Methodist Hospital since 1983 and is presently Chief of the Division of Dental Medicine and chief of the dental implant section. He is a former faculty member at New York University School of Dentistry for the postgraduate implant department. The doctor is a Board member for the Second District Dental Society, as well as a member of their Oral Health Committee and Peer Review Committee. He is a member of the New York State Dental Association and is presently serving as a delegate. Dr. Sconzo is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the Long Island Academy of Odontology, the Pierre Fauchard Society and International College of Dentists.
In addition, Dr. Sconzo keeps updated by participation in ongoing continuing education in other specialties of Dentistry. He serves the community by speaking to children, adults, and senior citizens about preventive dentistry.

Dr. Sciascia
Matthew C. Sciascia, DDS, graduated from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He pursued his education in dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry. At New York University he was a member of the Aesthetics Society and was selected to become a Teaching assistant and peer mentor in his 3rd year, to teach 1st year dental students operative dentistry. Dr. Sciascia completed his general practice residency at New York – Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and was accepted to be a Chief Resident where he completed advanced training in prosthodontics, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Sciascia also received extensive training in emergency dental treatment including root canals and extractions. He is currently an Attending Dentist at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he will be teaching residents general and cosmetic dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Sciascia likes to play golf, stay physically fit, and spend time with his friends and family. He keeps current on new advancements in dentistry by attending conferences, reading journals, and has already taken over 300 hours of CE credits in his first two years out of dental school. He is currently a Spear Faculty Club Elite member, a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Second District Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
